Automation & Apple Shortcuts
I like finding ways to make everyday routines a bit smoother or more enjoyable. Most of that has taken shape through building custom automations using Apple Shortcuts. They usually start as simple ideas and turn into small systems I end up using as daily automations.
Smart Wallpaper by Location
This shortcut updates my phone wallpaper based on where I am. It’s small touch, but it adds some spice my day and makes my phone feel a bit more personal.
Carplay sounds
Every time I connect to CarPlay, a random jingle plays. I saw this on TikTok and challenged myself to make a version with multiple sounds from one of my favourite video games.
On-Street Parking reminder
This one is more practical. It triggers an audio reminder so I do not forget to move my car and end up with a parking ticket. Simple, but very effective.
Photography
I really like taking pictures! Mostly on my phone, but I have my eye on some other cameras for the future.
Recently I have been shooting with a Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo, which has been fun for social events as well as solo adventures.

Music & Playlists
Music has always been a constant for me, both personally and academically. These days it mostly shows up through playlists. I like building them around specific moods, activities, or memories rather than just collecting songs. Here’s a few of my favourites:
Swanky Lounge
While studying, I've listened to numerous "chill / focus" mixes, but I wanted to make a similar playlist I could have on in the background of a more exciting occasion. With that in mind, my Swanky Lounge playlist was born. It's uptempo easy listening that won't put you to sleep. Cover photo is our beloved family cat.
Classical
This is an exploratory playlist for me. Growing up playing a bit of piano, a handful of the songs I learned were classical which gave me an appreciation for that style of music. Lately I've been listening to more classical and sticking all my favourites in this playlist. Cover photo is from a symphonic concert I went to where Joe Hisaishi play music from the Studio Ghibli movies!
Can you dig it?
A more lively playlist! I started this to round up a mix of bouncy music for a lively party. The playlist cover photo is a note someone left at my house in college after one such party. Attending a school where many students studied music and went on to be performers, the little note was very much appreciated.
